Workshops at the Glasshouse Studio are a relaxed affair. Whether you are a dab hand or a complete beginner, we can tailor the experience to your desires.

Fused glass workshops
Our workshops can be a half or full day...enjoy a few hours of creativity as you make your very own fused glass piece. Come along to one of these sessions and learn the basics of glass fusing in a relaxed, garden studio setting. All materials, tuition and refreshments are included. For full day workshops, bring lunch or enjoy a five-minute walk into Knaresborough.

"Big bowl" workshops - new in September 2026
Time, cost, and kiln space usually mean that the pieces made in a standard workshop are small to medium sized. But everyone who comes to the studio, without fail, admires the large pieces I've got on display!
So, for a limited time, I'm offering "big bowl" workshops to let you try your hand at making a bigger "statement" piece. All sizes welcome, but in this case, we believe you should go bigger or go home...!
£120pp | 3-4 hour workshop time | can be booked on any workshop date
Large groups
A 'kitchen workshop' may be a better option if you have a larger group to accommodate. The kitchen comfortably seats up to 20 people, and we can tailor the workshop to your budget, timings and occasion.
So, if you have a a big birthday, girls' get-together, craft group, family gathering or Hen party coming up, consider doing something different to celebrate.

Ladies' nights
Ladies' nights are all about switching off and letting your creativity flow in great company. Every month or two, on a Friday evening between 7 and 9pm, we get together with a glass of fizz to create some lovely glass.
On each occasion, we follow a different design brief. Our next Ladies' Night is on the 24th September. We'll be doing something different this time, and making jewellery from wire and beads.

Take Home Kits
The Take Home kit is basically a Glasshouse session in a take-out box! Inside will be all the glass and tools you need to make your ideas a reality. These are ideal for a childs' birthday party with a difference, girls' night in, craft club, etc. The Take-Out kit can be tailored to fit into your budget and any type of event.

Hen parties
Fancy a hen party with a difference - and a clear(er) head? We can accommodate up to six Hens in the workshop, and twenty in the kitchen studio.
Everyone will make their own piece of glass, and then work together on a joint piece for the bride or happy couple. Oh, and we'll throw in a bottle of bubbly for the group!
